Communications · National sports federation
A federation with something to say again
From scattered press releases to one story that serves members, media and partners at once.
The situation
Communications ran on scattered press releases, mostly about what the federation itself considered important. Media picked up little of it, members did not read it, and partners could do nothing with it.
What we did
We reversed the order: first work out what happens during the season that interests a journalist, a member and a partner, and build the programme around that.
- One narrative for the whole season, with three moments everything hangs on
- Spokesmanship handed to people who were actually there, not to the board
- A fixed format for press moments, so it wasn't improvised every time
- A short crisis communications guideline, for when things go wrong
What it delivered
National coverage doubled, without extra people. More importantly, the federation finally had something partners could attach their own communications to.

Something to get done?
Call or email. One conversation is usually enough to know whether we can do something for each other.
